Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer who is gaining recognition for her stellar roles in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano, and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter won many awards which included the Oscar for her film Piano. Her career began as an actor on Broadway as well as Off Broadway. Since her childhood, she has been passionate about acting. She played Helen Keller as a fifth-grade pupil in a school performance. Her mumps left her deaf and blind in one ear. But she refused to let that to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actress. When she was a teenager, Hunter studied drama and then moved in New York City. Hunter was able to make her Broadway debut after an accidental conversation with Beth Henley, a playwright. Together, they wrote in Broadway Crimes of the Heart. As she settled in Los Angeles, she began to search for film roles. Her first film role was as an actress supporting the leading character Swing Shift. Over the past three decades, since her time in Los Angeles Holly Hunter has been in many films, series and television films. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and she has won Women in Film Lucy Award.
